An efficient gas sensor of greenhouse gases, including CO2, whose properties exceed the existing analogues. The obtained results are the basis for the development of a new line of sensors for decarbonization of the environment at elevated temperatures and radiation. It makes it possible to obtain layers of nanocrystalline SiC with a nanocrystal content of more than 80% with high sensitivity to the action of oxidizing and reducing gases.

Effective gas sensors will be needed by environmental protection services, public health services, global atmosphere monitoring, owners of mobile phones with built-in sensors
